91社区Injury & Illness Prevention Program

  • What is an Injury Illness Prevention Program (IIPP)?

The 91社区 Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) is a basic written workplace safety program. Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations (T8CCR) section 3203, requires every employer to develop and implement an effective IIPP. An effective IIPP improves the safety and health in our workplace and reduces costs by good management and employee involvement. To be effective our Injury and Illness Prevention Program must:

    • Be maintained at each work site
    • Fully involve all employees, supervisors, and management
    • Identify the specific workplace hazards employees are exposed to
    • Correct identified hazards in an appropriate and timely manner
    • Provide effective training

    Responsibility

The safety of students and staff our district's highest priority. Injuries and illnesses create personal loss and hardship to employees, students, and their families, and reduce the ability to provide quality education. It is our position that all accidents are preventable.

Site administrators have primary responsibility for providing a safe working and learning environment, and are accountable for compliance with applicable health and safety requirements. All supervisory employees, from senior managers to first line supervisors share responsibility for ensuring the safety of students and staff.

Every employee is expected to work safely, adhere to safety requirements, and immediately report accidents and potential workplace hazards to their supervisors.

    Compliance

All 91社区employees, including managers and supervisors, are responsible for complying with safe and healthful work practices.
