My name is Jennifer Pennybacker, and I am currently teaching 5th grade at Marylin Avenue Elementary School. I have been teaching elementary school for 20 years. Most of my teaching experience has been in Livermore. I am proud to teach in the same community in which I reside. I enjoy the opportunity to interact with my present and past students and their families in and out of the classroom. They are the reason why I am passionate about what I do! I hope to instill a love for learning in my students and the mindset they are scholars who are capable of achieving excellence. I encourage them to learn from their mistakes, not be defeated by them. Success comes from multiple attempts of facing adversity and challenges along the way, not what is “easy” in life. A philosophy my husband and I continue to share with our son. Everything worth achieving comes with dedication, diligence, and perseverance. The ultimate gratification comes from meeting personal “goals” students set for themselves, through the support of teachers and family! It does take everyone involved to ensure our students are successful and productive members of our community!
