Miss Rainey
Hello!
My name is Miss Rainey. This is my 7th year teaching and my 6th year at Rancho Las Positas. I have taught first, second, and now third grade and this is my 5th year in third grade. It has been my favorite grade to teach because my students are always excited to come to school and I love to see how independent they become in a year. Rancho is particularly special to me because I (like a few other teachers) went to Rancho. I even had Bill Cannon as a teacher! The community of this school is something that has never faded, and that is why I came back as a teacher.
I have lived in California all my life and I'm currently making the commute from Oakland. My boyfriend Matt and puppy Roo are my favorite companions to hike, cook delicious meals, and sit on the couch with. I am an avid reader and I love to paint in my spare time. Every day, your students and I have conversations about and practice ways to be kind, show respect, make good decisions, solve problems, and have a growth mindset. Your student has all the tools to make progress and I will do my best to help them figure out how to use those tools. Thank you for getting to know more about me!
