Mr. Keith Pickering-Walters

Mr. Pickering-Walters received his Bachelors degree in Mexican-American Studies from Sonoma State University after receiving his Associates degree from Cabrillo Junior College in Aptos, CA.

He received his bilingual, multiple subject credential from Sonoma State University and his single subject credential in Fine Arts from Cal State Hayward/East Bay. 

Beginning in 1995, PW taught for four years at Marylin Avenue Elementary School before making the leap up to Livermore High School to teach black & white photography and ceramics while developing their video productions and animation programs. In 2004, PW was elected president of the Livermore Education Association and spent four years working for the union. In 2008, he returned to Granada High School to start their Video Productions and Animation programs while developing their Studio Broadcast Production program.

PW is excited to return to elementary school, joining the Lawrence staff in 2021. In addition to teaching, he has a passion for Star Trek, wood working, home remodeling, ceramics, and gardening.  He lives in Castro Valley with his husband and two rescue dogs.
