Ms. Ramil

I've lived in Livermore most of my life and love being a "Livermoron".  I spend my early years  at my grandparents house on Falcon Way and Marylin Avenue Elementary School.  I attended Arroyo Seco, East Avenue Middle School and Livermore High.   During my elementary school days, I remember accompaning my Uncle Cesar at his teaching assignment at Cherrywood Elementary School on days my school had off.  From then on I started to work on my organization and procedures for efficency. I realized I wanted to be a teacher before I was in high school.  During my junior and senior years in high school, I attended several weeks of outdoor education as a camp counselor at Camp Campbell and Redwood Glenworking working to keep 10+ girls on schedule.  I paid my way through college working part-time at banks and as an engraver (getting my training at Fairchild's Gifts at the Stoneridge Mall). While attending junior colleges (DVC, LPC, Sierra College, and Butte) I worked to perfect my 10-key skills and not ruinging anything I engraved while paying my tuition.  After transfering to CSU Chico, I continued working at banks and engraving stores during the school year and as a day camp counselor for Camp Adventure for two summers (Italy and Hawaii).  Camp Adventure an international child care program for US militay families liviing abroad.   I gained a new apprciattion for our military and their children. After graduating with my BA in liberal studies from CSU Chico, I returned home and enrolled a online credential program called Calteach. Calteach is a graduate program that allows you to substitue teach during the day 91社区and take classes at night,  applying what you learned in class to your job as a substitute . After getting my credential, I was hired as a long-term substitue at MMS. I started in 7th grade honors core, spent over 10 years in 8th grade core and have also taught leadership, yearbook, strategic reading, and study skills.  I come from a large Filipino family with 17 first cousins, many of which are also teachers. We have family reunions every 4 years and incorporate fun competitions, talent shows and sharing of family stories. I am a Raider and A's fan.  I like to swim, travel and spend time with my family. I'm a foodie and a fashionista.
