Welcome First Grade Families!

I am so excited to be joining the amazing students, staff, and families at Sunset Elementary School.

This will be my fifth year teaching at the elementary level but my first year here at Sunset. Sunset holds a very special place in my heart as it is the elementary school I attended as a child. So many great experiences and memories I have stem from being here at Sunset. I look forward to creating many of those same memorable experiences with your families. 

Teaching has always been a great passion of mine. I find it fascinating how little minds work and grow. I enjoy creating a learning environment where all students feel safe to challenge themselves academically, socially, and emotionally. I truly value the importance of embracing the unique diversities in students while also creating a community environment within the classroom. I believe in every child and their abilities to achieve their personal best. I am fully committed and ready to help support your child in fostering a love of learning.

Outside of my time in the classroom, my greatest passions include time spent with my family, being outdoors, listening to music, coffee, DIY crafting, and all that this beautiful town has to offer. I was born and raised in Livermore. I attended Sunset, Mendenhall, and then finally Granada where I met my husband. We have been together for sixteen years and married for six. We have a silly two year old son named Tanner, an intelligent nephew named Benson, and a beautiful niece named Finley. 

First grade is an amazing year of tremendous growth, laughter, and memories for your child and I feel honored to share in this experience as your child's teacher.
