I have been married to my wife for thirty-six wonderful years. We have two daughters and a son who all went to Ohio State University and all earned degrees in Chemical Engineering. We are also proud grandparents of a grandson and a granddaughter who attend Sunset Elementary School in Livermore.
I have been teaching science for the last thirty-nine years. I earned my BS in Earth Science Education from Oho State University and my M.ED. in Curriculum & Instruction from Cleveland State University. I believe in teaching science through Inquiry (hands-on) lab activities in addition to a mixture of class discussion and video clips. My goal is for every student to love science.
I have been an active Science Olympiad coach in several of the school districts that I have taught in over the years. While teaching in Ohio, the team that I coached won eight state championships and six national championships. This will be the fourth year of Science Olympiad at Christensen.
