Hello Students! My name is Jeff Halbe and I started teaching in 1994, at Irvington HS in Fremont. In 1999, I started at Livermore HS, and in 2002 I transferred to Del Valle HS. Between 2012-14, my wife and I went to teach at Chapel School in São Paulo, Brazil, where I taught International Baccalaureate (IB) English and my wife was the principal. Since returning from Brazil, I have been at Livermore HS. I have two adult sons and one grandson. The oldest son is an Electrician and lives near Vail, Colorado with his son. The younger is a third year law student at UT, Austin, Texas. We love visiting them, and wished they lived closer. My wife and I love to travel. We have been to four continents (North and South America, Africa, and Europe) and 32 countries, along with many states. We also love to ski/snowboard, so many weekends during the winter (weather permitting), you may find us at Lake Tahoe enjoying the outdoors with our awesome dog. Before teaching, I grew up in Southern California. To keep busy during the summer, I worked as an Ocean Lifeguard at many beaches in Orange County, Los Angeles County, and Santa Cruz County. The only thing I love more than the mountains is the beach.
