Hello!  Welcome to my site.  I am Mrs. Carol Myllenbeck, English teacher here at Livermore High.  This is my 23rd year working for the Livermore School District, and 5th year teaching high school.  Prior to LHS, I was a K-12 instructional coach, taught Middle School Core, and 5th grade for a number of years.  Teaching at a range of grade levels has really helped me to appreciate teaching older students, as well as having the perspective of knowing from where students have come academically.  I decided on a career in education while my own children were young, and became fascinated with how they were learning.

I really enjoy getting to know all of the students and develping connections with them, as I feel it helps them learn more quickly if they have a good relationship with their teacher.  I pride myself in teaching through different modalities and helping students discover how they learn best.  My classroom is grouped in tables to facilitate student collaboration.  Additionally, I am consistent with keeping up with grading and giving students timely feedback on how they're doing in my class.

Currently I am teaching English 10A, English 11B (H)and ERWC B (Expository Reading and Writing Course) for 12th graders.
