Mrs. Renee Haugen
Mrs. Haugen earned a B.A. in Zoology with a Minor in Chemistry from Ohio Wesleyan University. Like most native Ohioans, she is a huge Buckeye fan. She later went back to earn her teaching certificate in Ohio State's Post-Degree Program in Science Education. She later earned her Master's Degree in Science Education from Georgia State University. She has taught at LHS for 18 years. Previously, she taught for 8 years at Starr's Mill High School in Fayetteville, Georgia, and 4 years at Bishop Ready High School in Columbus, Ohio. She has taught Chemistry, AP Chemistry, Biology, Field Biology, Earth Science, and more. Her favorite courses to teach are Chemistry and AP Chemistry, which she has spent the majority of her career teaching.
She enjoys periodic table memorabilia, mountains, oceans, wildlife, and spending time with her family.
