Hello World - 

My name is Zach Moser and I am the Photography Teacher in the Visual and Performing Arts Department at Livermore High School. My entire career has been focused on both the creative arts and the act of making the arts accessible to teveryone. For the past sixteen years, I has instructed thousands of students in black/white and digital photography. I have created original curriculum for courses – from beginning to advanced photography – as well as curriculum for other introductory art courses. I also supervises and maintains the school’s darkroom facilities as well as their digital darkroom and photo studio; this experience has helped me develop a thorough understanding of photographic equipment function, repair, and maintenance. 

As an educator, I bring passion for the photographic image and of art in general. I encourages students to draw from their personal journeys and transmit their voices through the creation of art. I want my classroom to be one of community engagement and growth; where students are encouraged to give feedback to one another on the work they create and where the work is shared outside of the classroom with the larger community at local events and gatherings. 

In addition to teaching, I continues to work as a freelance photographer and exhibiting artist. My work has been shown in numerous galleries and publications.
